Update: Here is Hillary's Speech.
****
Hillary Clinton's West Virginia victory speech is about to start. I'll be live-blogging with continuous updates. Feel free to live-blog your reactions in the comments.
I am more determined than ever to carry on this campaign until everyone has had a chance to have their voices heard.
I need your help to continue this journey. We are in the home stretch, only three weeks left in the final contest. Your support can make the difference. Go to Hillaryclinton.com.
There are many who wanted to declare a nominee before the ballots were cast. Reviews other primaries. This race isn't over. Neither of us has the total delegates it takes to win. Both Obama and I believe the delegates from FL and MI should be seated. She wants to count the votes and delegates.
Under the rules of our party, the total delegates is 2209. Neither of us have that. This win will move me closer.
I want to send a message. I believe I am the strongest candidate to lead our party in NOvember and the strongest president to lead our nation starting in Januaary.
I can win if you decide I should. The choice falls to all of you. I deeply admire Obama but I believe our case is stronger.
We have won millions of votes, 17 million, we've won in states we must win in November. She rattles them off.
No Democrat has won the White House since 1916 without winning W. Va.
The White House is won in the swing states and I am winning the swing states.
We have a vision for America that rewards hard work.
I am ready to go head to head against John McCain. Our party is strong enough for this challenge.
I never give up, I'll stand with you as long as you stand with me. Together we will draw the distinctions with the other party.
Choose who you believe will make the strongest candidate in the fall.
Why did people keep voting? Why did 65% of Democrats say they want the race to continue? People know they need a champion and someone who will never stop fighting for health care, jobs, the economy, homes, affordable college.
This election is about whether the American Dream remains alive and well for our children and grandchildren. At the very least, you should have a President who's on your side.
This fight has been positive for the Democratic party. We are united by common values. We are ocmmitted to putting a Democrat back in the White House. Our nominee will be stronger because of the long fight. I will work my heart out for the nominee to ensure we have a Democrat president.
It's close. A lot depends on those yet to vote. Think hard about how we will win in November. This is for a solemn purpose: to elect a president to turn our country around.
If you give me the chance, I'll come back to W Va in the general election and we'll win the White House.
Praise for Sen. Byrd and Gov. Mansion (sp?). And others.
Kentucky, Oregon, Puerto Rico, South Dakota, Montana. She talks about Florence Dean from South Dakota. She wants an absentee ballot brought to her hospice bedside. She was determined to exercise her right to vote for a woman running for President. Florence passed on a few days ago, but I am eternally grateful to her and her family to have helped her make this milestone.
Let's finish the job we started. America is worth fighting for. G-d Bless and thank you.
