July 30th is the ten day countdown to the Beijing Olympic Games and hundreds of websites like yours (and this one) can take a simple action to protest against China's censorship of the Internet. Sites like Wikipedia, CNN and Facebook, as well as websites with information on human rights, Falun Gong, AIDS and SARS are routinely blocked by Chinese ISPs.

How does it work?

Be part of the Day of Protest, add a single line of javascript to your web page. The javascript will automatically activate on July 30th and every visitorwill see, for a few seconds, a censored version of your site, and a message explaining the Day of Protest. There is also an alternative version, which has no censorship, and shows only a banner in the corner of your site. The censorship disappears and your chosen protest banner will appear on your site for the day.
