Ezra Klein can not get away with writing this:

As the Internet becomes more and more pervasive and job applicants have a longer and longer paper trail, prospective employers are going to have to overlook a public record containing opinions that, in previous eras, they would never have seen, and would never have tolerated. Come to think of it, my presence at The Washington Post is probably a good example of this, too.

Ha! One thing for sure, nothing Ezra has written since he joined the WaPo has given Fred Hiatt a moment of concern. The Village is safe from Ezra's pen. Indeed, it has a potent new weapon - the Village Blogger.

    to find googling me.  It has never occured to me that this is going to be a horrid problem.  And I really don't want to work for someone who is repulsed by who I am and the fact that I have some strong opinions, so let's just clear the feeble hearted right off the table at the start.  If I didn't know better though after reading this, I would think that Ezra has pondered making the exactly right impression at all times quite a lot.

    It's a biiiiiig community.

    I get a big kick out the notion that 'they' are somehow different from 'us'. I realize there's a certain utility to this kind of thinking and in some cases it's actually true: 'they' believe no woman should have the right to full reproductive care; while 'we' believe she should.

    Klein is a hack; and before he was a hack, he was an aspiring hack. So, he's arrived.

    All those sports reporters are now 'bloggers'. Pixels are cheaper than paper, but the 'bloggers' turn out pretty much the same stuff, only in slightly condensed form, sometimes dumbed down and sometimes sharper and more focused.

    If we're going to snipe, (and why the hell shouldn't we, I ask you), my own favorite imbecile is Yglesias, blogger par excellence, BA Philosophy and sometime FP expert. WTF?

    Ezra's making a good buck and I'm sure his family is proud. Reading anything he writes means wading through his turgid prose and I simply haven't the patience. He should go back to school part-time. He might learn something. Matt, too.

    Not sure if a full Obotomy is reversible.
