Sunday Night TV and Open Thread

Celebrity Apprentice continues. No one got fired last week, and Donald Trump says two people may be fired tonight. Another Trump son, Eric, makes his debut as a set of "eyes and ears" for Trump. It's good to see Bret Michaels, especially with the news he's expected to make a full recovery. I hope he doesn't get fired tonight.

There's also Pacific, Desperate Housewives and Brothers and Sisters. What are you watching?

This is an open thread, all topics welcome.

great movie.  saw this over the weekend.  from 2008
excellent.  Sam Rockwell in his element as a pathetic tormented sex addict who chokes on food (which as far as I can tell has nothing to do with the sex addiction part - the name put me off a bit at first) and visits his insane mother (played by Angelica Houston) in a state mental hospital.

    I loved this movie too (5.00 / 1) (#8)

I watched it when my husband was gone. I don't know what he'd think of it.  But it gets my vote, not for shallow folks though :)

all the music is great of course, and the depiction of the various struggles of the people of New Orleans, from all walks of life...there is no better social critic writing for television, imo.

You need to give it a few episodes J...Simon just takes it slow, building characters with some depth.

and the music is great.  I agree that pilots, first episodes, etc., can be off-putting with so much to establish all at once.  This is the sort of show that is laid back like NOLA, needing time to develop.  But then, I love that town. . . .

I also have gotten more out of it by checking in on NOLA blogs about the show.
