Another Jail Sentence for Lindsay Lohan

video platformvideo managementvideo solutionsvideo player

A California judge has ordered 30 days more jail time for Lindsay Lohan. She has to report Nov. 9. It's expected that she will serve about 6 days due to jail over-crowding issues. [More...]

In all, Sautner sentenced Lohan to 300 days in jail for violating a court order, but said the actress would only serve the additional 270 days if there was another violation.

In reality, however, the initial 30-day sentence will be significantly shortened by jail overcrowding, with Lohan likely serving only about six days. The actual length of the term will be set by the Sheriff's Department, which oversees county lockups.

The judge also ordered Lindsay not leave the country and advised her she would be getting " a new "no-nonsense" probation officer." It's her 5th jail sentence since 2007 when she was arrested twice for alcohol-related driving offenses and earlier this year admitted violating probation for misdemeanor theft of a necklace.

... you mentioned the morgue, 12 days a month and 4 psychotherapy sessions.  The judge advised her not to Tweet about the morgue and advised the morgue not to hold press conferences about LL.

LA is an insane place, the morgue has a press conference about LL, that's just makes my head spin.  LaLa Land indeed.

If it wasn't right in front of my face, or on the local/national news, I wouldn't waste a calorie chasing any of this.

I can't even go to a political/legal website and escape it.  There is literally no way for me to avoid hearing about this and many more truly dumb news.  So I don't know about fixation, or if the media is creating it, or 'we' are demanding it.  I lean towards the news creating it.  Certainly wasn't this saturation a decade ago, and when I was a kid, it was rare to hear about stars unless it was actual news.

On that note, Houston has a new news channel that is so awesome I can't believe it will stick.  All local news and no fluff done in what I would call an almost web format.  No 'Head & Shoulders' marketing, just solid news with a hip flavor.

For Locals, it on 39 DirecTV @ 5&9 and it's called 'NewsFix'.

Lindsay Lohan isn't interesting, but how our criminal justice system deals with her and others like her sure is.

If she screws up yet again, the judge is sentencing her to 270 days, which I doubt will be shortened again to under a week because of overcrowding.

Maybe she would get early release. (none / 0) (#7)
