BTD what are you going to do with your phrase of High Broderism? You are going to have to come up with a new one. What's going to happen to the press with out their "Dean"?

Seriously though, my condolences to his family.

I think the term can be carried forward (none / 0) (#6)

BTD can replace High Broderism with High Kleinism as a tribute to Joe Klein

you may be right about Dana Milbank - because the new Dean will definitely have to have something of Milbank's fatuous & supercilious air

isn't Dana still a tad young though?

Howard does rock a smarmy smirk & loves to lecture Democrats about how manly the GOP is

While the passing of most everyone is a cause for sadness, one can't help but be reminded of the family dinner scene in "My Favorite Year" when Benjy's mother says, " Benjamin, before your father passed away and eventually died, he said..."

Professionally, Broder died sometime during Iran-Contra. Today, he joins Franco in still being dead.
