    My boy Kevin G is the shaggy fool playing keyboards at the beginning.  Dude just came up with a game show, as well, which is soon to take the world by storm.  (Which will hopefully mean the oddball freakshow of a comedy screenplay we wrote together gets made and makes me some shekels.)

    against the frozen tundra home of the Phoenix Coyotes? It's expected to reach 100 degrees there today cutting down a little on the ice fishing.

    ... because Jan Brewer is still governor of Arizona, and Joe Arpaio is still Maricopa Co. Sheriff.

    Okay, not really. I didn't mention the Coyotes because rumors have them packing up and moving to Quebec City in the very near future to become the new Nordiques, thus replacing the old Nordiques who moved to Denver to become the Colorado Avalanche.

    The Coyotes were, of course, the old Winnepage Jets, but they can't become the new Winnepage Jets because the old Altlanta Thrashers beat them to it this year.

    Around the same time, it seems.  The Miracle on Manchester, Rogie Vachon, Marcel Dionne, Laker colors on ice...ah the memories.  For my birthday one year I went to Kings/Seals game.  There's a team from the wayback machine: The California Golden Seals.  

    I'd been to many a baseball game by that night, seen many a foul ball being fought over by fans, but nothing prepared me for the melee that ensued -- in a quiet, half full Fabulous Forum -- when a puck came flying off the ice into the crowd near us. My childhood memory of it is, literally, I thought someone was going to die. Like sharks in a feeding frenzy. Crazy.  And I second your motion: go Kings!

    Hunting accident. Hunting what? Why, wild hogs of course. Thankfully she only got hit in the upper legs and was transported to a hospital.

    are babies.  And they come in different colors with the white spots on their backs.  I saw three babies on the side of road, probably eating some road kill.  One was black, one was red, and one was rust colored, and I tried to a get a photo while still in the car of course.  I did not want to meet their mother wherever she was hiding.  They were fine with cars whizzing by, but when one pulled over they were gone like a shot.  As if they knew that all these people driving by were not a danger, the danger is when one stops.  They say that pigs are smarter than dogs, baby wild hogs seem to be smart as hell.

    are pets who have escaped and become feral. And many are Vietnamese pigs who were popular as a pet years back and who were thrown out when their owners tired of them.

    Just like people turning snakes loose when they no longer want them.

    The good news is that hogs eat snakes, and anything else they can get their snout around.

    A few years ago I had three that had escaped from what I charitably call a private petting zoo of a lady who lives about a mile away visit my garden.

    Two of the three wound up as BBQ. The third has not been seen since.

    backs like fawns do.  I don't know that domestic hog breeds hadn't interbred with them.  I used to have to feed pigs every morning and evening during summers on the farm though, and none of our piglets were born with rows of spots on their backs like that.  I think the ones I saw were of the razorback variety, and they are getting to be problem in Southern Alabama too, not just Florida.  Sometimes you see very large ones on the sides of the highways here that someone accidentally hit, and I can imagine the damage that does to your car when they are one of the big ones.

    They were older than this little guy though, so maybe that is why they looked they had rows of spots instead of stripes.

    None of the parties to the one lawsuit were challenging the AIA applicability.  The Court appointed the outside counsel.

    Yes, the Court appointed counsel to argue one issue in health care case.

    But how about the Solicitor General's Office decides to hire outside counsel--w/perhaps special expertise in a case The General would argue. Wiki and Solicitor Hegeral's web page use the term "virtually always" re The Genersl's duty to argue on behalf of the government.

    The "virtually always," I'd bet, refers to occasions when the SG allows expert counsel from another government agency to argue.  And by tradition, once a year or so, the Attorney General him/herself argues a case.  But I've never heard of the government hiring outside counsel.  The appellate lawyers at the Solicitor General's office are almost uniformly as good as or better than any in private practice (and many if not most of the best in private practice have SG experience.)
