Kim Dotcom: Give Me My Money, I'll Come to U.S.

MegaUpload founder Kim DotCom has made an interesting offer to the Justice Department, via his Twitter account. He later told the Guardian he meant it:

On Wednesday morning Dotcom laid down the gauntlet to the US department of justice, offering to travel to the US under his own steam and faces charges – with conditions. "Hey DOJ," Dotcom said on his Twitter account, "we will go to the US. No need for extradition. We want bail, funds unfrozen for lawyers and living expenses."

He told the Guardian that the offer was genuine but he was not holding his breath. "Considering the way the US government has conducted their case and the way I was treated, I never expect to get a fair trial in the United States," he said.

He's not happy that his extradition hearing just got delayed until March, 2013. [More...]

"People might think it's good news. But it's not. Justice delayed is justice denied. And that's the foul game the US government is playing. They have terminated my business without a trial. They have frozen my assets without a hearing....They are appealing the decision of a New Zealand judge who has ordered the US government to provide evidence before the extradition hearing starts."

He says he's in a fighting mood.

"This whole case is built on malicious conduct. It is a stillborn case and everyone can see it. I am in a fighting mood and if I get my assets unlocked or somehow find funding to defend myself I am going to war."

He's not a fan of Obama or Biden. His new album will have a song taking aim at Obama:

The song reportedly includes the lyrics ""We must oppose / those who chose / to turn innovation into crime". The track, Dotcom wrote in an email to the Guardian, would mark "the birth of a powerful movement and CHANGE".

He's making the album with Black Eyed Peas musical director Printzboard. Printzboard maintained after visiting Kim DotCom in jail that he'd want to come to the U.S. voluntarily to fight for his assets.

Printzboard says Kim told him he's going to go to the U.S. and fight the charges and clear his name.

He's like, "I didn't do nothing wrong. This is my company. This is the future. This is technology moving forward."

He doesn't even need to be extradited. He's cool. He's like "Lets go, let's get this thing started. Like, why wait?"

His single and video may be released next week. He's also got a website under construction at an easy domain to remember: Kim.Com.

You can follow him on Twitter here. He's immensely entertaining and never boring -- even his pictures are fun to look at.

if the warrants used to search mr. com's premises, and seize his assets, were deemed invalid, shouldn't he get all the seized items, including his money, back?

i realize we're talking NZ law, not US, but they appear to be very similar, in some respects. shouldn't the fruit of the poisonous search/seizure be returned?
