voted against Kerry today.  Hmmmm.  Cruz seems to say on another issue of the day -- immigration--that he doesn't go along with the bipartisan Senate workgroup.  Either he has been out-maneuvered by his colleague Rubio or he is going to look like a far right outlier.  (Now, which SCt justice did he clerk for?)  Fascinating.

... out here. With white people comprising only 29% of Hawaii's population, the racist dog whistle freak shows in which his staff and supporters took part during his failed 2012 re-election campaign against Elizabeth Warren would go over in the islands like a lead balloon.

Personally, I don't consider Brown to be a nice guy, nor can I take him seriously as an adult, and I sincerely hope that Massachusetts voters ensure that his one-third of a term as U.S. senator remains the flukish highlight of his political career.

own opinion/observations of what happened in the last election here in MA, I'm going to go out on a limb and predict that Scott Brown won't win (if he runs), assuming, of course, that the Democratic nominee runs a halfway decent campaign.

It wasn't just the reacist dog whistles...he ran a very negative campaign in all senses last year, and burned bridges in the process.

...all those horrible things they said about Kerry in 2004, you'd think maybe some of that would have come up before they rushed this vote through.

Unless of course they had their own selfish reasons to see him change jobs.

But still, that does leave every GOP Senator who voted for him open to a far right swiftboating when primary season comes around again.

Could be, for them, a combination of "be careful what you wish for" and "may you live in interesting times".
