but Michael Brown may have paid for those blunts.

Regardless, it's all character assassination and irrelevant to the shooting and occupying jackboot army response to the protests.  But wouldn't it be something if the authorities just made that bullsh*t up?

How, then, did police get the tape? According to St. Louis News, the attorney said, "`during the course of Ferguson's investigation, the police department from Ferguson, came to the store and asked for to review the tape." In other words, the tape was not viewed by police until after Michael Brown was dead in the street.

    Is sort of important.

Decision to bring or not bring charges.  If he say he will not things will explode.  That could be why the National guard arrived.

A grand jury will begin an investigation of the police shooting death of Ferguson, Missouri, teenager Michael Brown tomorrow, said Ed Magee, a spokesman for St. Louis County prosecuting attorney.

trust is what allows "civilization" to exist, maybe more than any other element.  Without trust, the house of cards has no foundation.

Trust in the rule of law, law enforcement, the government & assorted societal systems may be at an all time low in the USA.  And frankly I don't know where we would even start in regaining the trust required for society to function and prosper.  It's feeling like the last days of the Roman Empire more than ever.

I know one thing, nothing about the way this incident has unfolded should inspire trust.  More importantly it is far from isolated.

The decision seems to have been made that it is better to be feared than trusted.

FERGUSON, Mo. (AP) - The friend who was with Michael Brown when he was shot and killed by a police officer near St. Louis over the weekend is reportedly confirming that he and Brown had taken part in the theft of cigars from a convenience store that day.

That word comes from the attorney for Dorian Johnson, speaking to MSNBC.

In an interview with msnbc shortly after the report was released, Johnson's lawyer confirmed that Brown had taken cigars from the store.

"We see that there's tape, that they claim they got a tape that shows there was some sort of strong-armed robbery," said Freeman Bosley, Johnson's attorney. "We need to see that tape, my client did tell us and told the FBI that they went into the store. He told FBI that [Brown] did take cigarillos. He told that to the DOJ and the St. Louis County Police."

has been rather tame...nine days of protests and no one (police, protester, civilian, looter) has been killed.  I've read of riots and civil disturbances in other places and other times where boatloads of people have gotten killed...for example the Rodney King riots where over 50 people got killed.

I'm not saying that Ferguson is a nonstory when it so obviously is a BIG story but in the annals of civil unrest, it isn't going to merit more than a footnote.

Not sure how that works, they walk to the end, turn around and walk to the other end ?  All with stormtroopers in their battle regalia making sure no one dare protest in an un-designated area, which seems to be the rest of the United States.

    delay linked to Brown

The delay on the Ford autopsy report comes after two autopsy reports were released regarding the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown by Ferguson, Missouri, police officer Darren Wilson. The autopsy revealed Brown was shot six times.

Brown, who was unarmed, was killed on Aug. 9. More than a week of unrest has rocked the St. Louis suburb following his death.

Earl Ofari Hutchinson, president of civil rights community forum the Los Angeles Urban Policy Roundtable, questioned the LAPD's decision to delay the report, and linked Ford's killing to Brown's.

"The blocking of the autopsy report of Ford comes on the heels of the release of the autopsy report on Michael Brown which contradicted the police version of how Brown was killed," Hutchinson said late Monday. "The blocking of the release Ford autopsy report further fuels suspicions about the LAPD's version of the Ford killing."

LAPD says that on Aug. 11, shortly after 8:10 p.m., two anti-gang officers shot Ford after a struggle ensued during an "investigative stop" and Ford tried to grab one of their firearms.

What were the people wearing masks doing in Ferguson that night the first night when the National Guard was out?

    Looting or Protesting.

The latter, which is the context.

The protesters are wearing masks because they do not want to protect their identity. One reason they may be wearing masks is that they do not want to be recorded by the National Guard and put on terrorist lists.
