Big Day for The Broncos

p

Update: Congrats, Broncos. They beat the Patriots, 20 to 18. It's on to the Superbowl. I didn't even have to turn on my TV to know the game was over and they won -- I figured it out from the firecracker type sounds and yelling in the neighborhood that I could hear through my double-pane windows.

Go Broncos. It's almost kickoff time for the AFC Championship game between the Denver Broncos and the New England Patriots.

Here's a thread to discuss today's football games and the superbowl.

It was Von Miller and the New Orange Crush's Day...Manning tried his best to blow it, couldn't muster a measly first down to ice it at the end.

And it's Cam Newton and the Carolina Panther's year...I don't think Denver stands a chance in Super Bowl L.

I still say it's gotta be 7 by kickoff...unless I watched different games Sunday.

    "Shooter's crazy?"

Holy crap, kdog, everyone knows that. You couldn't even find a bookie who would take that bet.

But, when you say, "I don't think Denver stands a chance in Super Bowl L," you may be forgetting that the Patriots were also the betting favorites in Denver's own home field.

    How did that turn out?

But, you surprise me, my little floppy eared dog-buddy. When did you become a panting, run-with-the-crowd, puppy?
    -----------------------------------

    (But, seriously, now)

don't you think I know that Payton looked like warmed-over crap before, during, and especially, after that game? And, that Cam Newton/Panthers look, just, invincible? But, I also, know I've lost a ton of money in my life betting on sure-thing-can't lose-it's a lock!! contests.

Like they say, "that's why they play the game."

Oh, BTW, to prove your point, I was really, really crazy when I put a C-Note down on Joe Namath & the Jets in Super Bowl 3.

    How's that for being nuts?

I know you know you're crazy, just like I know you know I'm crazy...it's the crazies that don't know they're crazy that scare me;)

And you do know my underdog m.o...but this year Manning (& Brady) fatigue trumps the love for the underdog.  Panthers in a romp, you heard it here first!

    I Heart Tom Brady... (none / 0) (#16)
by ScottW714 on Mon Jan 25, 2016 at 09:43:25 AM EST
... just yesterday & today, not even sure why... I dislike the team that beat the Pack in the SB, and I really dislike the guy who dislodged some of Favre's records(Broncos & Manning).

Just remembered, I like when cheaters lose, and heart ones that throw inceptions to lose the game.

They were where outplayed and it was nice to see the Pats suffer normal team issues, like missing an extra point, loads of penalties, and the robot throwing interceptions.

Let's not forget, the Tom Brady cheating debacle will continue in the off season, so there is a good chance he will not be playing the first couple games in 2016 season.
    ----------------

It was the only game worth watching and I don't think the Broncos can complete with the Panthers in two weeks.

    I felt bad for Gostowski (none / 0) (#17)
by CST on Mon Jan 25, 2016 at 09:51:29 AM EST
He's been so clutch for so long, one of the great kickers.  You know he's taking it hard today.  Nevermind that the whole team struggled and put them in that position.

Also, I think there's almost no chance Tom Brady will miss any games in the 2016 season unless it's due to an injury or something.

It was put on hold for the season, the judge ruled the process was done incorrectly done, not that they can't punish him.  They will.

Gostowski should be happy as hell he didn't miss in the last seconds like Walsh.  They both cost their teams the game, but Walsh got death threats and was crying on the TV.

What did they say, 500 in a row, that is nuts.  Of all the extra points he could have missed along the way...

but why did Belichick take the ball away from Brady's hands in the OT of the Jets game and elect to go on defense? And why did he elect to run run run in the Miami game??
