America got the man it elected, together with his Septuagenarian cronies who were even worse stewards of freedom and civil liberties when they had a little bit of power.
Now, together they will run roughshod over your civil liberties, your freedom, your constitutional rights and your personal health choices in every conceivable way. Any economic prosperity they generate will not be shared with you, unless you are already wealthy.

With that, I'm going silent on this election. I have no interest in unity, in trying to build a new progressive alliance in the Democratic party, or pretending this is anything but the disaster it is. Silence like a cancer grows
Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you
But my words like silent raindrops fell
And echoed in the wells of silence
And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming
And the sign said “The words of the prophets
Are written on the subway walls
And tenement halls
And whispered in the sounds of silence”
