Trump Embraces The Poorly Educated

Donald Trump is catching a lot of flack for his Nevada victory speech in which he proudly counted the "poorly educated" as being among his supporters.

"We won the poorly educated. I love the poorly educated."

Jimmy Kimmel made a campaign ad about it. James Corden also mocked him on the Late Late Show.

I can't believe "poorly educated" got applause. There were people in the crowd going, "That's me, Hell yeah. I haven't learned a damn thing my whole life. I love you Donald Trump."

Other Corden quotes from Trump last night:

It's hard for me to turn down money because that's not what I've done my whole life. I grab and grab and grab. Now we're gonna get greedy for the United States. We're gonna grab and grab and grab. We're gonna bring in so much money and so much everything

[Corden] Lucky for Trump no one in the audience called out "Yeah, but could you be more specific?"

On Guantanamo, Trump said:

"As you know, we're going to keep Gitmo open. We're going to load it up with bad dudes. We're going to load it up with a lot of bad dudes out there.

Corden laughs like crazy, and quips:

Finally, a presidential candidate with the exact same plan as the Ninja Turtles.

On Ted Cruz being a baby and a liar, Corden says, "Ted Cruz is not a baby. People love babies."

The Miami Herald today says Trump is the "overwhelming favorite" in Florida.

Three weeks before Florida’s March 15 primary, the Quinnipiac Florida poll shows Trump leading Rubio by 16 points.

This doesn't surprise me given Trump's long time ownership of a big estate in Palm Beach. But interestingly, Rubio is the favorite of only one group: Those with a college degree.

and the way he said it.

He just seemed to be brazenly claiming that he loved people too stupid to realizing he was duping them.

I just finished reading an article titled:

"Donald Trump: The Least Charitable Billionaire In The World"

The bottom line takeaway from the article was that, over the last 20 years, Trump donated (to his Foundation) about 3.5 million dollars. That breaks down to 175K per year. To his much touted love for veterans, he gave next to nothing. In his campaign ads he claims to be an, "Ardent Philanthropist,"

But, that's not what was interesting to me. As a New Yorker, we all know that when Trump says anything, it's irrefutably, a lie. The man is constitutionally incapable of uttering a truth. And, that's the truth.

Anyway, here are the first couple of comments from his "adoring dipschitts."

p.s. I really, really love the last line of #2.

    - Krugman

Republican political strategy has been exploiting racial antagonism, getting working-class whites to despise government because it dares to help Those People, for almost half a century. So it's amazing to see the party's elite utterly astonished by the success of a candidate who is just saying outright what they have consistently tried to convey with dog whistles.

Even more amazing, however, are the Republican establishment's delusions about what its own voters are for. The party elite imagines that base voters share its own faith in conservative principles, when that not only isn't true, it never has been.

Of Super Tuesday states has a lot f interesting stuff in it.

Donald is way ahead of course but the details are something.

They think, of the three, he is the least conservative and the least committed Christian.
They don't care.   They also did head to heads with Marco and Ted which Donald won.   So the whole one on one thing, not so much.

Wild stuff, but it's not like being a "Christian" has ever stopped people from supporting hate in the past...

tidbit from that poll regarding the general.

If Donald Trump is the Republican nominee and Hillary Clinton is the
Democratic nominee in the general election, would you...?
Vote for Donald Trump for President    66
Vote for Hillary Clinton for President 9
Vote for a different candidate for President 14
I wouldn't vote in the general election 4
    Don't know 6

13% of Republicans voting for Hillary or staying home, in the south no less. Those are very good numbers for the home team.

9% holds in GA and all the other numbers are the same from the last two elections Hillary could carry GA.

We won the poorly educated. I love the poorly educated.

And news to me that exit pollsters are noting who is fat/skinny, and not sure how you determine who is poorly educated at an exit poll.

As in fewer years, which Tump short handed to 'poorly', as if you can never be poorly educated with a college degree.

... they are equating schooling with being well educated, so a bunch of folks told exit pollsters 'I dropped out of school', or he is equating people without degrees, as poorly educated.

We know he made it up, same with skinny/fat demographics.

    African Americans.

From a list of The Donald's quotes:

"Laziness is a trait in blacks."

"I have a great relationship with the blacks. I've always had a great relationship with the blacks."

"Black guys counting my money! I hate it. The only kind of people I want counting my money are short guys that wear yarmulkes every day."

"I just have great respect for them and you know they like me."
