Donald Trump's Slurred Speech

Donald Trump's speech pattern changed during his Jerusalem speech, and at the end, he slurred the word "States" in "United States."

CNN has an article about it but I'm not linking due to an auto-play video with a animated short bald man announcing some "breaking news." The LA Times has an article reporting the White House says Trump had a "dry throat" (no link due to ads popping all over.) A European paper asks if he has dentures.

My thoughts: I listened to the speech in the car, so I could not see Trump, only hear him. Sometimes that's better. [More...]

I had a coach once who said you should watch yourself on TV three times: once just watching, no sound, once with the sound on and your back turned so you can't see, and then the whole piece with sight and sound.

In the car, obviously, all I had was his oral words, So his voice pattern took on more significance. During the first part, it sounded to me like he was either using a teleprompter or reading from pages in front of him. Since I could hear rustling, I thought he was reading from paper. His diction was very precise, his voice was low and measured. Then it seemed like he finished the speech and decided to keep going in his own words. He tried to maintain the same tone but his voice began modulating a bit differently.

It sounded like he needed to drink some water at one point. Then he ended the speech with his "G-d blesses" and the last one was the United States. He didn't just slur the word "States" in my view, it sounded like he forgot the word and when he remembered it, it came out wrong, as if he had started to say a different word first. The word "States" sounded mangled, not slurred.

As to whether he has dentures or bridges or the like, I doubt it. I think he has veneers, and they don't make you slur. Why do I think this? Because back in the day, according to NBC and other his dentist was the "dentist to the stars", Larry Rosenthal.

Larry Rosenthal has been doing veneers since the early eighties; his celebrity list is huge, from Donald Trump to Kathie Lee Gifford. (Though he volunteers, "I did not do Regis Philbin.") I precede Miss Russia in the chair. At one point, Rosenthal pulls out a cast of someone's teeth to illustrate a point, and as it hits the desk, we both notice the label: C. BRINKLEY. Christie has — had, I guess — gaps, just like me.

During the election I wrote a long post about the Trump clan and their perfect teeth. . I mentioned Rosenthal was their dentist.)

I'd like to know the name of the Trump family dentist. These are Marla Maples' teeth. Those were not what her teeth liked when she was Miss Georgia. Those are Trump-era teeth. I think she had them done before their wedding. Ivanka has beautiful teeth too. Another glimpse here. And, of course, there's Trump's veneered teeth. I'm not criticizing them, they all have beautiful teeth. I just want to know if they all have the same cosmetic dentist and who he or she is. (Years ago it was reportedly Dr. Larry Rosenthal, I'm not sure it still is, but Here's a different looking Melania with dentist Michael Apa, who is Larry Rosenthal's partner.

Here's a description of Rosenthal from 2008:

One of New York's most prominent "celebrity dentists" since the 1980s, Rosenthal has been responsible for sweetening the smiles of countless boldfaced names over the years. Among those who've had his fingers in their mouths: Tommy Hilfiger, Dennis Basso, Harvey Weinstein, Donald Trump, Ivanka Trump, Kathie Lee Gifford, Sumner Redstone, Bridget Hall, Bruce Springsteen, Michael Bolton, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Joan Rivers. Assuming you like what he's done with them, he—or his youthful partner, Michael Apa—would be more than happy to fix you up, too, assuming you have $25,000 or so to spare. Or you can seek out someone who has trained in his technique: Since 2002, Rosenthal have overseen the Rosenthal Institute for Aesthetic Dentistry at NYU, which now has branches in London, Palm Beach and Indianapolis. (A friend of mine had a full set of implants by Rosenthal about a decade ago that took more than a year and cost well over $100k.)

Rosenthal is cagey about it lately in interviews, declining to confirm a report on the Today Show that he is the Trump dentist.

Look at how similar Melania's and Marla's teeth are here.

As an aside, in this photo, Ivanka and Melania look like the same surgeon did both their noses. For the change in Melania, go the superimposed photo here and move the line. For the change in Ivanka see here. Here are Ivanka's teeth, after braces and before veneers. And here's the change in Melania's teeth after meeting Donald.

These were Ivana's teeth. Then they became these teeth. (Not that big a change for her as with the others, I think she kept her original teeth and just had them whitened and a few lengthened by veneers.)

Which is all to point out that nothing about the Trumps is real. They are all "cosmetized" to appear like their individual aesthetic of perfection.

Veneers done properly do not make you slur. And in the 1980's, when the Trump clan seem to have gotten theirs, Rosenthal and Apa were the best.

So I'm ruling out dentures and bridges for Donald's word mangling. He has veneers. Either he got tired and his brain couldn't keep up, or his mouth was too dry. Since he seems to get dry mouth frequently now when giving speeches, I think it's either a medical issue or a non-issue.

Trump deliver his Jerusalem statement, I noticed, what appeared to be his tongue frequently pushing against his upper teeth.  And, the final seconds, made it seem clearer that he was having a loose denture problem.

But, John Avavosis calls attention to Trump's customary signature and the signature of that day.  Something, other than a dental issue, may be going on.  It could be that his drugs are not well titrated: If using anti-anxiety medication (e.g., Xanax) a frequent side effect is dryness of the mouth. At a recent press conference, Trump used both hands to hold a bottle of Fiji water, which also seemed curious at that time.

is like a distinct, living alien life-form, apart from Trump himself.  Like a disgusting eel-like attachment that has its own will.  It shapes itself in all these horrible forms.  It's as if it jumped up from a sewer and attached itself to Trump's face.  But I'm obsessing.  Ugh... I'm shaking.

the office is not taking a toll on him.  he hardly seems to even be aware of it.

what is stressing Trump is the noose slowly slowly tightening around him and his posse.

and i think that is absolutley taking a toll.

there have been plently of other signs.  remember when every other world leader walked together at the NATO summit and he needed a golf cart.  then that might just be because one of those things carried by several dark skinned bearers was not made available to him.

there should be universal dental care for children. it shouldn't be in america that children of well-off parents have good teeth and good dental care and other children have poor teeth and poor dental care.

I've been a broken record on that for years...why are the teeth and dental health somehow viewed differently than any other part of the body and overall health?  It's crazy! Good old fashioned medical insurance should cover that sh&t.

Even service connected veterans don't get dental...I took my great-uncle to the VA Hospital last weekend and there was a Vietnam vet in the waiting room in dental agony.  I overheard the triage nurse tell him "you know we have no dentists here right?".  Shameful.

Health care should be holistic..mental, dental, preventative...And, as for dental care, oral hygeine is an important component of overall health, with particular relationship to cardiac and cardio-vascular health.

I don't slur my words when I have dry mouth. I don't think its a dental issue either.

The slurring with the limited vocabulary and repeating of words along with reports of tRump carrying on conversations with non-existant people suggest something else.

    So, what could it be?

but no one wants to admit or say it.  Some young adults cannot pass drug tests today and, therefore, cannot be hired for any job. Who wants to have a person in a service job under the influence of drugs or alcohol.  No one!  Federal workers are regularly tested without warning.  Testers just show up.  IMO DJT should be tested.  Will we wait for some terrible calamity to occur that will affect our nation, our planet?  Slurred speech is just one symptom. Those around him know or should know and are enablers. Remember Tiger Woods, Patrick Kennedy?  And if you really believe, like mainstream media is reporting, that he will make public in January, results of a health physical, then I have a bridge to sell you.

interactions for anyone, especially a psychopath with his finger on the button to drop nuclesr bombs, is not a joking matter.

Apparently, you have not had these issues. How nice dor you.

But those of us who have to constantly cope with drug reactions and interactions -- owing to post-piolio syndrome's effect on my liungs as well as  polio costing me a kidney in childhood, and more -- are not so sanguine about this.

And I also have witnessed drug interactions in a parent with borderline personality disorder -- the rage from drug interactions adding to the violence from the underlying emotional poblems. I wish all of this on no one, including the child in the White House.

What's good for an individual though can, in turn, be good for society.  I think my 20+ years of recreational marijuana use is good for me and society...though not good for everyone in society.

And I can't understate the benefits of an annual or biannual psychedelic trip when done in the proper setting.  I could totally support a presidential biannual retreat to eat peyote or mushrooms in the redwood forest for something like that...well maybe not this president, but one of sound mind and body.  Their VP could take over for 8-12 hours.

was the way he seemed to be trying to suck them back into his mouth towards the end there.

But, going with the theory  that what he accuses others of is always the thing that is true of him - he probably is sick and  lacks the stamina for a long speech.

On the third hand...he does fine in those long ranting campaign style events. I mean, what he says is nuts, but he says it clearly.
