Good Riddance, Sarah Sanders

Good Riddance to Sarah Sanders who is leaving her job which consists of ensuring Donald Trump's opinions get more media play.

Sanders is nothing but a Trump shill with a bit more spine than some of the others who reportedly were in contention for the job.

I wish her well, I just hope she stays away from politics, as her credibility score calculated on her own acheivements, has got to be less than zero.

I also doubt anyone will remember her name in 3 years (unless she did something bad while serving Trump, and gets added to a future Indictment charging him.

governor of Arkansas?   She has Trump in her corner: "After 3 l/2 years, our wonderful Sarah Huckabee Sanders will be leaving the White House at the end of the month and going back to the Great State of Arkansas."   "... I hope she decides to run for Governor of Arkansas".

While, actually, 2 l/2 years, it does seem much longer. And, as Jeralyn points out, Huckabee S. would have to wait a while--the Republican Governor, Asa Hutchinson, was re-elected in 2018 to a four-year term. (if a vacancy occurs and the
next election is more than 12 months away, the acting governor, e.g., Lt.Gov, must call a special election).

Unless, of course, Trump gives a boost, naming Asa to an acting something in his so-called administration. There always is grifting, thievery, or some other scandal that creates an opening--just wait a day or so.  Secretary of Transportation may be an imminent contender.

After Obama left office there were a lot of political types that came home to MA with federal experience flooding the local political employment market (much to the dismay of some people who stayed local and had to compete against former Obama operatives).  This time the only one I can think of is John Kelly, and I would hope that he's now unhirable.

To be honest  I  can't really get a read on Sanders.  She's shameless and has no principles but I have no sense of what she  actually believes.  As an empty vessel for Trump's words - she played it well.

I thought Jeralyn's "Good Riddance" headline was a bit harsh but at least she had the class to say...

correspondents thoughtfully organized farewell drinks at Washington's Rare Steak House for Sarah Huckabee Sanders.  Apparently, celebrating her misleading and disingenuous briefings----on those infrequent to non-existent occasions.

It was reported that about 50 people attended, some, seemingly with bags over their heads, but attend they did.  Not all were having it, such as April Ryan who declined, emphatically.
