A Thankfully Last and Final Trump Debate

Update 5:48 pm MT: I think I will watch after all. I heard CNN on the car radio today and some official said that the mute button is only for the first two minute segments when they each get a chance to talk. (Shouldn't it be for all questions if the one not asked the question butts in and hogs the other candidate's time?) I think they should go further and block out the offender's face and mute his statements and have a chyron that says "Stand by. We will be back momentarily".

Does anyone need another debate to decide between voting for Trump or Biden? I doubt it. Does anyone need a final debate to decide whether to vote at all? Perhaps. [More...]

My ballot is sitting on my desk. I will vote for John Hickenlooper for Colorado Senate and Diana DeGette (running unopposed) for House. As to the rest, I haven't decided. I doubt tonight's debate will be the deciding factor.

Details of the debate are here. Please keep this thread to discussions about the debate.

and vote for Kamala Harris for Vice President (and future President). If doing so happens to require you to vote for someone else at the same time, then so be it. Or you can think of it as voting No on the incumbent.

Both of those things are how I saw it (5.00 / 2) (#32)

This election is a referendum on Trump. And I'm promoting Kamala for the future.

that is a reference to stuff the Obama admin  sent to Ukraine.  The point being they sent them weapons.

I think.  It's a general thing.  I did not actually catch the moment you are talking about, my attention wanders, but that is a common talking point.

many examples.  The Big Man thing stuck out to me.  I could just see viewers looking at each other and shrugging

That is the downside of living in an information bubble.  I see it almost every time I have an encounter with the cult.

They start blathering some nonsense and I stop them and explain.  They never have a response except maybe fake news.  They are completely unprepared to argue what they believe with someone who disagrees because they live in a bubble.

That was the biggest take away for the whole night.  He was like President Bubble Boy.

I really don't.  Is there some segment of the CNN audience that tells them they care about what these pathetic attention seekers think.

IMO if you are still undecided you should not be allowed to vote.  Sorry, try again next time.

was studied, factual, and persuasive.  His demeanor was calm and respectful in the face of a repugnant liar. Trump's inaugural response could be promises made, promises kept---I promised carnage and l delivered.

Biden's response to the same question was presidential.

That he is smart and evil enough to be throwing shade at republicans in the senate as they go down in flames, or that he actually believes this.

I take option B.  He believes this.

President Trump privately told donors this past week that it will be "very tough" for Republicans to keep control of the Senate in the upcoming election because some of the party's senators are candidates he cannot support, the Washington Post reports.

Said Trump: "I think the Senate is tough actually. The Senate is very tough. There are a couple senators I can't really get involved in. I just can't do it. You lose your soul if you do. I can't help some of them. I don't want to help some of them."

involved in because he is gonna make it worse for them. So who knows if this is another projection on Trump's part. He seems to think my senator David Perdue is worthwhile though he won't campaign in Atlanta. They are trying for a 2018 repeat with jacking up the rural vote here in GA. I hope it does not work this time. The suburbs are really turning out so far.
