Dr. Fauci and Mick Jagger Have Covid-19

COVID-19 keeps on barking at us. Dr. Anthony Fauci has tested positive with "mild symptoms." He is 81.

Monday, Mick Jagger was in Amsterdam for a Stones concert. He tested positive for COVID when he arrived at the venue to rehearse, and the concert was postponed until July 7. A concert in Berne, Switzerland was also postponed. He is 78. He's doing better now he says. Here is his 5 year old son, Devereaux, who is staying with Mick (and his mom, Mick's girlfriend Melanie Hamrick) in Amsterdam. Could he be any cuter or look more like Mick?

Best wishes to both Dr. Fauci and Mick Jagger for a speedy recovery.

    We watched "How to Survive a Plague" (2012 documentary) last night on TCM. It was fascinating to see Anthony Fauci almost 20 years ago, as he was confronted and ultimately influenced and changed by the activism of ACT-UP regarding the government's response to the AIDS crisis. And as his hair went gray in the process (or at least during the same time frame).

    The fans at the Muni do a really good job. We were there on Monday and the fans made it ok. There was a good breeze at Bush Stadium Tuesday night.

    and I are the only immediate family members who have not had Covid. He is in health care so that is a little surprising.

    My daughter and her husband, a year apart, got it after being fully vaccinated. My SIL who is immunocomprosed came down with it after he had received his 2nd booster. Everyone had mild symptoms which is the good news.

    I'm getting my 2nd booster shot next week. I'm traveling in early July and wanted the immunity to be at its strongest then. Hopefully, that logic works.

    who has not had it.  My older brother had it twice.  Because his POS grandchildren refused to get vaccinated.  IMO.

    has been vaccinated and has received at least one booster.

    My son, my youngest grandson and his girlfriend (longtime honorary family member) got Covid early on before they were eligible to receive the vaccinations.

    is pretty alarming.  One day a couple of days ago there was 21 new cases.  That's a lot.  It's rarely been more than that.  This is a very rural area.  Not many people.

    the areas with the largest outbreaks relative to size are in the more rural areas.

    St. Louis County is huge by comparison but has done a good job of implementing and reinforcing safety measures when necessary. Of course, our Democratic County Executive has come under a lot criticism by those most likely spreading the virus for his efforts.
