The 75-year old Abrams served in three Republican Administrations, the latest as envoy to Iran in TFG's Administration. As Assistant Secretary of State he was involved in funding anti-communist rebels in Nicaragua, and  being blasted by Human Rights Watch for downplaying the massacre of 1000 people by US- trained and equipped individuals in El Salvador.  Abrams has continued to support these activities' benefits , recently doubling down during questioning by Rep. Omar(D.MN).

Green Kicked Out of House Freedom Caucus

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) was ousted from the House Freedom Caucus for not being conservative enough, Politico reports.

Named for the Gilded Age author, the Association espouses "rags to riches" hoping to aspire younger generations by giving awards to those who fit the profile.

The award festivities include dinner at the National Portrait Gallery and a reception at the Ritz Carlton, DC.

Through the circle of wealthy friends made in the group, Thomas has been invited on luxurious vacations, VIP sections of NFL games, and other special events. The lavish gifts were not disclosed by Thomas.

Thomas has given the group's members access to the Supreme Court, placing medals around the necks of new members during an exclusive ceremony in the courtroom.

The reporting by the NYTimes and WaPo speak to the need for ethics reform, which is necessary by insufficient.  The DOJ should investigate and, if crimes were committed, Clarence should be prosecuted.  It seems that the defense for Thomas is that he would have ruled in favor of his rich circle of friends with or without the bribes.

Interesting Note: Horatio Alger was a Minister/Pastor who was removed from his post  after, in 1866, a Church Committee investigated reports that Alger sexually molested boys.  He was charged with " abominable and revolting crimes of gross familiarity with boys."

The director, Alejandro.Morteverde, is said to be anti-gay, perhaps, adding to the "faith-based" characterization of the film.  Also,  Caviezel played Jesus, in the Christian hit,"Passion of the Christ".
