Right Talk vs. Rights Talk, TalkRights

Last week I wrote about the Internet radio channel, Rightalk.com, for two reasons.

One was that righty bloggers Jeff Goldstein of Protein Wisdom and Bill Ardolino of INDC Journal , got their own show which debuts tomorrow at 3:00 pm ET. I will be a guest. So will Michelle Malkin, but not at the same time. The call-in number is 1-866-884-8355 (866-884-TALK.)

The Citizen Journalist Report (3pm EST)
Description: 2 broadcast amateurs ask personal questions of famous people they hardly know!
Host: [Bill Ardolino] [Jeff Goldstein]
Guest: [Michelle Malkin] [Jeralyn Merritt]

Personal questions? I had no idea.

Jeff, on the other hand says, "Topics: Who knows? Immigration? Michael Jackson? Fruit pies?"

If listening to rightalkers doesn't interest you, don't forget Air America and Radio Left.

The second reason I wrote about the station was that several talkleft readers had e-mailed me to tell me talkleft had been hijacked and redirected to rightalk.com. It turned out that these readers had incorrectly typed leftalk.com instead of talkeft.com. Rightalk apparently bought the domain name leftalk.com and redirected it to rightalk.com.

I asked readers for retaliatory suggestions, and got some good ones. I followed through and bought the names talkrights.com, rightstalk.com, righttalk.net and lefttalks.com. Anyone going to those sites now ends up here at talkleft. So there.

Oddly rightstalk.com sends you to an old version of the site that is apparently still alive on one of HM's servers.

That's because I didn't remember to change the nameservers on the new domains until tonight - I had them registered to the old talkleft server. They'll be updated in 24 - 48 hours.

That's what I figured, I was just surprised that HM hasn't taken the old sites offline--they're probably still getting loads of comment and trackback spam from spammers who saved the IP address.

Both of you have something to say, let the games start, but no blood.

while you're on, ask ms. malkin when her report date for basic training is. since they changed the age limit for the army, i feel certain she's already enlisted, to go fight the good fight in iraq. she's just too shy to say anything about it.

Come on, CP. You've lived in a democracy protected by the military your entire life.

Jeralyn was wonderful -- articulate and personable as always. Thanks!
