4 U.S. Soldiers Killed in Afghanistan Today

The war that keeps on taking...

Four American soldiers were killed and three wounded when a roadside bomb hit their vehicle in southern Afghanistan. In a separate attack, two employees of the United States Embassy were injured when their convoy was hit by an explosion west of the capital, Kabul.

In southern Afghanistan, a religious cleric and another man were killed outside a district mosque in the latest in a series of attacks on pro-government clergy by suspected Taliban insurgents.

Today's attack brings to 65 the number of American soldiers who have died in Afghanistan this year, making 2005 the deadliest year for the United States military in Afghanistan since the war began in 2001. A total of 181 American soldiers have died in Operation Enduring Freedom in and around Afghanistan since military operations began in October 2001, more than 100 of them in hostile attacks.

Yup, we should pull out of Afghanistan, let the Taliban kick the girls out of school, lock the women in their homes and reopen the soccer stadiums for the lopping of heads for listening to music.

Yeah Wile...it's all about the little girls. Not to mention the CIA would lose a pretty lucrative heroin trade if we left, too.

Bush bag and all those who support this desaster in iraq bare some blame for the lack of support and the resulting deaths of our troops in Afaghanistan! You repigs have really messed this war up. When will you begin really supporting our troops instead of your Preznit?

The price of oil is sixty-five dollars. The war is good for oil prices. No good Republican can pass up such an opportunity. The war is going to last for years. Four American dead soldiers a day is ok.

Well Wile, You may not like the way Ed talks (types), but he makes an excellent point. We should have finished the job in Afghanistan. These soldiers are dying today because we didn't.

Wile, answer me this: if we can't control the opium production, what makes you think we can control how women are treated over there?

Afghanistan is the forgotten war that we should have won first before anything else. ED makes a good point.

That's how Iraq will be by this time next year. What's your point?
