Yes, Bloomberg News reported last night that Cheney was a focus of Fitzgerald's probe. I did not see any new information there that Raw Story or I hadn't reported on before, so I wrote about a different section of the article which mentioned that Joseph Wilson is considering suing Bush, Cheney, et. al.

Bloomberg doesn't say Fitzgerald has uncovered evidence of Cheney wrong-doing, only that he is looking at it. Bloomberg also acknowledges there have been no leaks from Fitzgerald's team, so the information has to be coming from lawyers for other subjects of the investigation, some of whom, it appears, are in legal jeopardy. It may just be spin and an attempt to deflect attention from their clients. For example, Miller says she exonerated Cheney in her appearance before the grand jury.

But, there's plenty of information out there, for those willing to connect the dots. Whether it's enough to get Cheney is open to interpretation. You can find most of the details in these two posts.

Update: From Anonymous Liberal:

I find it odd that there have been no public statements exculpating Cheney either. I wrote about this last week and my questions seem even more relevant now. Where are the anonymous quotes providing Cheney's defense? Where are the leaks from his people trying to distance Cheney from this affair? Last week, we saw a number of stories that laid out what will surely be Bush's defense, i.e., that Rove was never fully candid with him. Where are the corresponding stories that lay out Cheney's defense? Is the silence almost deafening at this point?

Will Bunch focuses on Andrea Mitchell from a previous TL post:
Of the possible leakers and possible leakees, the ones who can be placed in the East Room that night? Dick Cheney and Andrea Mitchell. Here's the evidence: 1) Dick Cheney was there.... 2) Andrea Mitchell was most likely there, and probably would have sat at or near the head table with Cheney. Why? Because her husband, Fed chairman Alan Greenspan, was also a guest of honor. 3) Andrea Mitchell was on the weapons-of-mass-destructuion beat, and was covering the Niger uranium scandal -- the one that Wilson has just blown the whistle on.

Does Mitchell have an Official ID, aka a Bushliar nickname? Official ID from Unelected Idiot-in-Chief She's probably called 'Seven-eleven,' or 'Storebought,' or 'Green Door,' or 'Grave Robber.' We also don't know the Official ID for Judas Miller, though 'Judas' would seem to be the obvious choice.

I wouldn't say that Judy "exonerated" Dick Cheney. The question asked was to the effect of whether >Libby< indicated that Cheney approved of what he (Libby) was doing. Judy Run Amok answered "no." That doesn't, strictly speaking, rule out the possibility that she also spoke with the Dickster and that he was the one who gave her the name of Valerie Plame.

Miller says she exonerated Cheney in her appearance before the grand jury How could she exonerate Cheney? Just because she didn't know of any involvement on Cheney's part doesn't mean he wasn't involved. The only way she could be in a position to exonerate him is if she knows ALL the facts related to the case, including conversations to which she was NOT a party. I cry BS. This is just more of Miller's shilling for the administration.
