Charlie Cook's Latest

As of now, Republicans appear to be headed toward losing at least 20 House seats—perhaps 30 to 35 or even a few more. The competitive races are there: 45 GOP-held seats are vulnerable and another 18 are potentially so.

In the Senate, the Republicans will most likely lose five or six seats. Six, of course, would give Democrats control of the chamber. It’s possible— though less likely—that the GOP will lose as few as four or as many as seven Senate seats.

I can't wait for November. I'm slow baking the crow right now. I've never seen as much hype about polls well since 2004 when the polls got it all wrong. I heard Shcrum last night on HB garunteeing that the Dem's would win the House and Senate. That's as good as gold for Repubs winning the day in my veiw. Seriously, what will dems do if the prophecy doesn't come true?

    Slado,
Go to blackboxvoting.org and do a little research about how insecure our voting process is.  As for 2004, ask yourself how polls, especially EXIT POLLS (the inaccuracy of which we use as proof that foreign elections are not legitimate -- think about that for a second) could be so off.  And should we now consider election results that so diverge from exit polls as proof of legitimate foreign elections?

Baking crow is fine, it just leaves the impression you're not about a fair and freely democratic process but merely about the result, however that result is attained.

The Republicans must be, if you will, in their last throes.

Not to rain on the parade....but aside from some long overdue investigations into the actions of the executive branch the last 6 years...what good will a Dem senate really do?  We will still be in Iraq for years(the war machine knows to hedge their bets on both D and R).  The drug war will rage on, we will continue to incarcerate people at an alarming rate, and corruption will still run rampant.

I'm sticking with my plan to vote against every incumbent. Fire everybody....and do the same every year till they get the picture that "the game" will no longer be tolerated.  Shape up or we keep shipping you out.  Screw the hollow victories of a "D" beating an "R" while Rome burns and freedom dies.

It's time for this jig to be up.  My liberal arse will be voting against my "D" Hillary...can I get any of my right leaning friends to pledge a vote against their incumbent "R"?  Whadda ya say?
