Gov't Quits in Gotti Case

Having failed to convince three successive juries of John "Junior" Gotti's guilt (as TalkLeft reported here, here, and here), the government is finally admitting defeat. In a Friday news dump, embarrassed federal prosecutors announced that they won't pursue a fourth trial.

    Why don't they just declare him to be an "enemy combatant?"  Then, they don't even have to worry about another trial.

    C'mon feds...everybody knows the 4th time is a charm!  

    Seriously though...is it 6 figures or 7 that the feds wasted on this dog of a case in their zeal to convict a "Gotti"?  If his last name was "Smith" they would have gave up after the first try..or more likely never tried him at all.
