DMR Poll And My New Endorsement

I am watching C-Span and the candidate speaking is my new favorite. I vote for repealing the 22nd Amendment. Yep. I am watching Bill Clinton. Still the best pol I have ever seen.

The Des Moines Register's final poll comes out tonight at 9:00 CST. It will shake the Earth, maybe.

Consider this an Open Thread.

O/t Did anyone see Huck's press conference. He was getting a haircut by a barber in a 3 piece suit. Leo wondered about that. Who gets a haircut by a barber in a 3 piece suit? How much did that haircut cost? Why aren't more people discussing this pressing issue?

is definitely the most talented politician of my lifetime.  With the added bonus that he managed to make the federal government work for the most part.

That's no small accomplishment and I would expect the same from Hillary.  Competence is a wonderful thing especially after the last 7 years of bozo time.

I dare you to get through these diaries without laughing!!

    1. Sylvia Browne Predicts Obama will win in 2008

    2. Will we all die if Hillary isn't nominated?

ps, Bill already floated repealing the 22nd amendment in early 2003.  A fair amount of people will say, a vote for Hill is a vote for Bill.

C-Span and Bill just explained health care mandates in a perfectly logical way, along with how it would be paid for.  Don't know why that's so hard for most others.  He makes is all look easy.

Bill is watering at the mouth to have another go at the whitehouse. He's won't care whether he's assigned ambassador at large or janitor. Could be a power struggle between him and Hill if she's elected. Both power hungry.

Any tally on the I vs Hill ratios (none / 0) (#6)
by RedHead on Mon Dec 31, 2007 at 05:12:38 PM EST

[Bill Clinton] said the word "I" 39 times and referred to New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton -- "Hillree" -- only five times, not much better than a tally made by the AP's Ron Fournier last month that revealed 94 uses of "I" and only seven references to the candidate herself.

I once saw him give a speech when he was President that was amazing.  Why was it amazing?  Because the speech he gave wasn't the one that had been written for him (we had seen it as part of the review process).  Yet, every paragraph was perfectly structured and advanced his theme.  It was moving and smooth and perfect.  Everything he said about the policy was right.  And it was completely extemporaneous.

Watching him I remember thinking, "no wonder the Republicans hate him and want to destroy him.  He's a very dangerous man to them."  I still think that.

    Such short memories. (none / 0) (#12)

I really was suckered in by the title of this diary.  BTD reveals...nothing.

If HIllary Clinton is elected President, don't see how she can let Bill roam around as a global ambassador type fellow. I surely don't want to read about personal life. How to deal with him?  Is there a chastity belt for men?

Bill Clinton did a fine job of selling the Iraq War to the British people AFTER inspectors were pulled from Iraq, continuing to support it through 2004, and then lying his past support in 2007. Only a great pol could get away with such bald faced lying and still be embraced by a majority of the people.

Not so good for the 160,000 US soldiers in Iraq. They don't get to sit on their ass and be dazzled by Bill Clinton's rhetorical skills on New Year's Eve.

I saw the entire speech. I am still speechless. I don't know if anyone can make our (progrssive) arguments better and in simpler terms. Talk about "Progressive policies for Dummies".

    I join your endorsement.

with reagan. the big difference between reagan and clinton is that clinton would actually get elected, not so reagan, much to the disbelief of core republicans.

and no one would accuse reagan of being F.D.R. like. lol
