This Week's Best Crime Headline Isn't About Paris

When the headline reads "Butts Charged With Stealing Toilet Paper," there's really nothing left to do but provide a link to the story. (Despite Bart Simpson's dream headline, the underlying story is sad, given the risk of jail for a woman who probably lacked the funds to buy her own tp.)

Is there anyone alive that hasn't observed, on a daily basis, people pushing stolen grocery carts full of newly purchased (or pilfered) goods...making their way home, or more likely, to an apartment?

Those puppies cost around $75 a piece, as I understand it.  If it's right to prosecute a woman for taking something needed to preserve her basic human dignity, then why don't we ever hear about people being busted for stealing grocery store carts - and I'm NOT talking about homeless people.  I'm talking about folks that are making their way home via shoe leather express, using a stolen cart...for whatever reason.

Workers had noticed the rolls disappearing from the Marshall County Courthouse much faster than usual

I guess she was just full of sh*t, and couldn't help herself.
