McCain Promises Preemptive Testing

Leave it to John McCain to turn an opponent's gaffe into one of his own.

Republican John McCain vowed that as president he would "test" America's enemies rather than having them test him. ... "I am going to test them. They are not going to test me."

That's great, Senator McCain. As long as you're announcing a policy of American belligerence, do you think you could be more specific? Which enemy do you have in mind? How exactly do you intend to "test" that enemy? And, since Republicans have not shown any ability to anticipate the consequences of their actions, what trouble do you predict your "testing" might stir up?

I sometimes think John McCain doesn't understand the meaning of words.

Perhaps he's talking about standardized testing.  You know, give the Taliban scantrons and a #2 pencil and watch the transformation.

Typical red meat for conservatives which will get another 0.5% of them to rush out to the voting booth.  (Lost another 5% of the independents though)

how to respond to this. maybe he's going to toss a battle-level thermo nuclear device in some sparsely populated area in siberia, and see how russia responds?

perhaps an errant b-2 bomber strike on downtown tehran, see if the mullahs invade iraq?

maybe, as suggested above, an AZ "No Child Left Behind" act standardized test for china?

i don't think sen. mccain has the slightest clue what he means. it's as though he and gov. palin are suffering from political tourette's syndrome.

I knew he just couldn't hold himself.  He just can't hide his nature.  "Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran..."  What a belligerent idiot.  That's just what we need - another invasion.  Don't you know, John, that you NEVER invade another country during an economic crisis?  That's almost as bad as rolling back tax breaks on the wealthy!

    test who? how?

I've seen the enemy John, and it is us.  We're fixing to go down without a shot being fired...it's called going belly-up.  But you have all but admitted you don't know nuthin' about it, right John?

If he had any honor left he'd drop out of the race and admit he is in way over his head.
