Tonight's Media Coverage of the Pennsylvania Primary

Polls close in Pennsylvania in 80 minutes. The cable news networks have begun their evening media coverage. We'll have several threads going, but here's one to post your comments about the media coverage of the results. We'll close each thread when comments reach 200.

Who's the biggest Horses As*? Who did you like?

What networks are you watching? I'm watching whichever has an anchor talking. As soon as they go to pundits, I change the channel.

That I'd rather read Kristol or David Brooks (sorry to group you with kristol) than the sunday times Frank Rich/Dowd combo.

At least there's some variety with Kristol.  So I have to say CDS pundits win at being the biggest losers in this election.  And people like kristol actually win for having a wee bit of restraint.

^^ If i ever run for public office, i hope noone finds this identity lol.

and please Lord, let it be so, I'll tune to MSNBC to watch the wailing and gnashing of teeth.  Schadenfreude, I know.  I can't help it.  KO is the biggest HA by far - pompous and self-rightous, without any reason for being so; kinda reminds of a certain presidential candidate I know who likes to vote "present" and eat waffles.

Donna Brazile is the second biggest HA.  What a disaster she is for the Democratic Party.  Why anybody listens to a word she says is a mystery to me.

Since I didn't post my prediction in time during that fast-filling thread: Part of me -- I think 67% or so -- subconsciously wants Obama to get the nod only so that a horrendous loss now will be an extreme, and long overdue cleansing of the Dems perma-losers. On the upside, Afternoon Joe (5.00 / 0) (#86)
by Cream City on Tue Apr 22, 2008 at 06:49:03 PM EST
Scarborough is just grilling, grilling, grilling Harold Ford about why Obama can't close it, can't get crucial big blue states, what do you say to super-delegates saying "whadda we gonna do with a guy who can't do the basics," etc.  Ford tried to get out of it twice, and Joe came right back at him again, 'til Ford finally admitted that it's a concern.

Joe also sez all Clinton has to win is a margin over 5% for the super-d's to worry about whether Obama can win.

And what helps is that KO and Tweets actually shut up when Joe talks and let him finish a thought, even let him go after a guest again and again until the guest answers a question . . . which is the reason for the guest being on at all.

Me Democrat, me feminist, me am thinking Joe Scarborough am less sexist than Keith Olbermann. Me am confused. Keith Olbermann am telling me he am progressive, but he am friends with Chris Matthews and they am trying to think how Hillary victory am defeat.

Me am not understanding why here on Round Earth pundits am not not talking about what they am knowing, and am instead talking about they am wishing for.

their exit polling must be awfully good for Hillary. It's the only thing that can explain their general bad mood and nasty POV in covering this election.  Can't wait for the actual numbers to be reported--in about 45 minutes.

If Hillary surpasses Obama's popular vote even without Mi and Fla; comes to within 50 points of pledged delegates without Mi and Fla. then the DNC better seat Mi and Fla or the supers vote Hillary.  Otherwise, this 50% of Hillary voters will be a reality for McCain.

at diner this morning. Obama saying Rendell will work just as hard for him as he worked for Hillary. I came in a bit late on this.

Hillary video talking about party unity==must have Dem in WH.

She says any diffs between herself and Obama pale compared to contrasts with McSame, who is a good senator, but his plans for the nation are wrong.

Goes into financial advantage of Obama--why can't he close. Big state argument.

Olbermann came in all PO'ed, "but Obama keeps going up in the polls and Hillary goes down!"

BUT Mr. Obamaman, the point is, your guy doesn't close the deal in time.

And if he does go up in polls, maybe it's the blanketads, and not the candidate, hmmm?

Wow....Andrea Mitchell, Tweety, Olbamaman, all those people are totally pushing the argument that Hillary needs to fold up her tent, while they wait to find out by how much she won Pennsylvania.

According to MSNBC, PA really doesn't matter. It's just another opportunity for them to advocate for an Obama nomination and tear down Clinton.

Really amazing. I mean, they've been awful for a long while now, but they're way deep into FoxNews 04 territory in the land of unabashed bias.
