    ALWAYS REMEMBER TO PACK SHOES.

    I went to funeral yesterday up in chicago land and rushing around to get out of the house I forgot to bring shoes so I ended up going to the service in my vibram five fingers.
    at least I have the black ones.

    My beef is more with my youngest brother who is a Gator fan.  The middle brother is a dyed in the wool Alabama fan.

    Go Buckeyes!

    I am also very much looking forward to the season.

    I am taking my daughter to Purdue this Sunday to start her first year of college. And I plan on at least 3 games. A very cool stadium and great atmosphere.

    That said. Long time Ohio State fan and 1983 grad and they do look mighty tough this year.

    And I will be in Columbus for the Purdue/OSU matchup. And depending on the W/L records I reserve the right to root for either team.

    Best sport going. Go Big Ten.

    brought an ad package for all the Bronco games (within a week of Focus on the Family laying off a bunch of people).  I'm sure the ads will fit in nicely with the misogynistic alcohol commercials.  Thank you Tim Tebow!

    If I didn't love the NFL and the Broncos since birth, I think I'd hate them.

    Thank Dawg I'm a Jets fan. Don't see that happening with NY team or a CA one (yet?!). Last thing I need is someone shoving their religion down my throat while I'm watching my sports.

    Wonder how Tebow will fair in the NFL as a rookie . . . ?

    OMG Pelosi is on Top Chef, lol!~ she says she's a foodie. Geeze, now I gots politics on my food shows?!

    I did enjoy the Yankees comeback win over the Rangers with GWB and wife in attendance on the tube tonight {grin}

    Was there a St Francis group there? Must bless the pets and other creatures great and  small . . . .

    these are the ones who follow in the footsteps of the gifted and the disciplined;

    who have been deeply hurt but not discouraged, who have been frightened but who have not forgotten how to be brave;

    who revel in the company of their friends and sweethearts, but who are willing to face the loneliness that is demanded of mastery."

    . . . we're having a hilarious time in green-and-gold country, formerly known as Favreland, with the latest rumor about his . . . um, jewelry, yeh, his ostentatious if original use of his wristwatch.

    See the notorious and notoriously rumormongering and wrong website, Deadspin.  So believe it or don't believe it -- but enjoy it, as we are.

    To be safe, though, never but never ask Brett Favre for the time.

    try this:

    Volition, the studio behind Saints Row and Red Faction Armageddon, is entering a new space. The Illinois-based developer is currently collaborating on a "new action role-playing game" with "a high-powered creative talent in the entertainment industry." Who could that be?

    If previous reports are right, it might be Mexican director Guillermo del Toro. He's helmed films like Hellboy, Pan's Labyrinth and The Devil's Backbone. The LA Times recently named del Toro as part of a deal with publisher THQ, after the director told MTV Multiplayer he was getting into video games.

    Volition laid out its plans to create an original, unannounced franchise in a fresh job listing, spotted by 1UP. Here's the open position's description: "Volition is searching for a Design Director for a new action role-playing game. We are collaborating with a high-powered creative talent in the entertainment industry to develop this original, unannounced franchise."

    Del Toro told MTV the deal would be officially announced "in the next few weeks." Given the movie director's discriminating taste in games, it's an announcement looking forward to.

    I am so fed up with the antics in the Oregon Ducks athletic department that I am now officially an Oregon State Beavers fan.

    Football players arrested; Mike Bellotti taking a job with ESPN and still walking away with a severance package of a couple mil $$; everybody in UofO administration hustling to see who be quickest and longest to kiss Phil Knight's keister.

    And good luck with Jeremiah Masoli there at Ole Miss. Hope he manages to avoid arrest while he's down there.

    Still, I'm very excited about football.

    looks like the guy was just a b*itchy flight attendant after all.

    BELLE HARBOR, N.Y. (CBS 2) -- The saga of Steven Slater, the flight attendant who flew off the handle, is raising doubts Thursday morning.

    Sources tells CBS 2's Marcia Kramer that police have completed interviews with 70 percent of the passengers aboard Monday's bizarre JetBlue flight at Kennedy Airport and all of them said they never saw flight attendant Steven Slater get hit in the head with a piece of luggage or argue with anyone.

    This flies in the face of what Slater has said led to his now-infamous meltdown.

    The sources said that police still have to complete interviews with all the passengers.

    Meanwhile, a pair of Pittsburgh women aboard a JetBlue flight Slater was rude to passengers and instigated the confrontation that resulted in his spectacular exit.

    what a surprise.

    doesn't change my opinion...I still love me some Slater.

    The guy grabbed two beers and hit the chute Capt...I can't believe you're not lovin' it.

    "Hit the chute" is the new catchphrase in this set of cubes...as in "if this afternoon is anything like this morning I'm gonna hit the chute" or "if this doucheb*g doesn't quit whining I'm gonna hit the chute."  It's the "Don't tase me bro" of 2010.
