    President Obama sent Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton to the Middle East on Tuesday to try to defuse the conflict in Gaza, the White House announced...she will stop first in Jerusalem to meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel, then head to the West Bank to meet with Palestinian leaders and finally to Cairo to consult with Egyptian officials.

    Is now saying that they know that Kelley took multiple flights from MacDill on the taxpayer dime. They are also saying though that the military is telling them they can't find flight records, as they have requested to see flight records several times.

    The military not being able to find flight records is like Santa not being able to find his reindeer or a priest not being able to find his Bible.  This really cannot stand.  The taxpayers have a right to know what Generals did with their money and with who.  The game is up with you Tampa Generals.  I hope a larger news network lights this up.

    I suppose the administration would like to save Allen too and maybe that has something to do with it.  They probably think losing Petraeus and Allen in one stroke is too much. But if he's dirty and they save him, they only destroy soldier morale.  You can't do it, unless you want your troops to lose respect for you and your authority.

    That is on extended deployment for the second or third time really gives a gosh darn crap about what some goofy CIA director and General are doing in Washington with their Mistresses.

    Why you might almost forget there's a male suicide epidemic in the armed forces! We have to focus on the IMPORTANT issues you know?

    And this is an apples and oranges comment from you.  Isn't it always you wingers arguing about how many aspects must be covered in order to have the army you must have?  Well, this is one of them.  And soldiers do care when their bosses are pompous, shagging, and sort of whorific.  Soldiers also care when one crazy civilian woman with huge boobs and a fake bank account can get amazing consideration from their bosses that they can never hope for.  It's broken, it needs to be fixed too.

    I don't self identify as a Neocon. While I supported both our initial wars against um..."terrorism" or whatever, the fact is I felt I was lied to by Bush on Iraq - but by then it was too late.

    I do care when soldiers lives are at stake and all you want to talk about is two stupid cheating bimbo wives, two old fool cheaters (well maybe just one cheater, the General might have just sent flirty emails, JFC), and a bunch of tabloid headlines. I was only interested in the two bimbos to the extent that I thought they might be spies, though CIA/FBI investigations seem to have taken care of that. In this whole thing:
    A. I'm sorry Petreaus's loyal wife, and his adult children
    B. I'm sorry for Broadwell's hubby (who has to be humiliated) and her minor children (who might get crap at school if they are old enough).
    C. I'm sorry for Kelly's family.
    D. I'm sorry for the poor guy whose family court case these idiotic "white knight" generals tried to get involved in.

    Other than that, I really don't care.

    They are the ones with the jiggy problem. I realize that because of your husband's career that you can't always say or do what you would like.

II Chaminade University Silverswords of Honolulu added another chapter today in its giant-killing reputation, handily dispatching the Texas Longhorns with surprising ease, 86-73, at the EA Sports Maui Invitational over in Lahaina.

    For their effort, the 'Swords will play Illinois in the semifinals. North Carolina will face Butler in the other semifinal matchup.

    Despite its supposedly formidable reputation, Chaminade actually doesn't fare too well against the big boys. The Silverswords now sport an all-time record of 7-76 in the 28 years it has hosted the prestigious early season tournament, which annually attracts a "Who's Who" of NCAA Div. 1 teams. In fact, the last time the 'Swords won a game here before today was back in 2003, when they upset Villanova.

    Further, two of Chaminade's seven victories came in the Maui Invitational's very first year in 1984, when they knocked off nationally ranked SMU and Louisville on successive nights -- both of which were appropriately decided by buzzer beaters -- to win that inaugural tournament. Coming only two years after the Virginia upset, that was what initially secured the program its admittedly overstated legendary reputation as giant-killers.
