The line to see President Obama tonight at the Community College of Aurora – Lowry Campus began hours ago and quickly grew to over a mile long according to CBS News4 Colorado -- some say 1.5 miles. You can follow on Twitter here. Ignore the supporters for a particular third party candidate dumping trash in it.

In Hollywood, FL earlier today, 23,000 people attended Obama's event at McArthur High School.

Updates to follow.

Update: President Obama gave a great speech. Here is a summary of what he said. Here's a slideshow of pictures (screengrabs). He was animated and passionate, and the crowd loved him. What a difference between an Obama crowd and a Romney crowd. White bread vs. Multi-grain. We all know which one is healthier.

That supposed over-flow R-Money rally the other day at Fiddler's Green is now being reported to have been less than capacity.

His campaign estimates 17,000 people showed up to the Comfort Dental Amphitheatre, which has a maximum capacity of more than 18,000.

Is Obama going to win Colorado? (none / 0) (#4)

I've still got Romney to win in my forecast.   What's your take?

The early voting has been going well.  Latinos make up roughly 20% of our population and Romney hasn't done anything to court them.  If fact, every Romney/Ryan rally here has been as white as a fresh snowfall on Pike's Peak.  The hardline abortion/reproductive rights stance doesn't play well here (it cost the GOP big time in '10).

The Personhood initiative didn't make the ballot, which may keep some evangelicals home.  Hopefully, the marijuana amendment will have a positive effect.

I think the Obama ground game is much better than the GOP's.  Lots of committed, dedicated people have been working very hard to get people registered and GOTV.

Our Sec'y of State's voter suppression efforts haven't had the desired effect and in fact, have backfired to an extent.

People (including some on this very blog) gave Obama no chance against McCain in '08 and that didn't turn out to be the case.  If Obama wins the Front Range (excluding Colorado Springs), he'll win the State.

    Fingers crossed.

because a lot of the polls have him leading. The ballot initiative for marijuana gives me some concern, my thinking is that conservatives will come out in droves to defeat it.  I just don't know that state very well.  Still have CO in my R column for now, maybe I'll change my mind before tomorrow morning when I make my final prediction.

like the comment about bread.  That's a keeper.  As an aside, Dave Matthews gave a commencement speech at my college graduation.  That guy is spacey as all getup but indeed good-hearted.  The Africa quip, I can almost hear it now, hah.

Somehow I missed out on seeing Obama in campaign mode both cycles :/ (geography has not much been my friend either election).  I'd love to see him speak at some point in time.

but i simply cannot imagine ANY politician in this day and age that i would expend ANY effort to see in person. i'm the freak, tho, who would have zero interest in going to a white house dinner or meeting the president. power doesn't excite or enthrall me, it disgusts me in general. but where i come from, it's no real surprise.
