TalkLeft is officially 13 years old. Here is our first post, from June 15, 2002. On our first "blogiversary" we had 1 million page views. We've now past 100 million page views.

Thanks to every one who has taken the time to read a page, posted a comment, given us a news tip, linked to TalkLeft, donated dollars and befriended us. [More...]

There are so many more places to get online news and comment today than there were 13 years ago. While readers come and go, some of you have been around for many years. We must be doing something right, and we appreciate each of you.

Hopefully, 2015 will be the year I finally move the site here. I haven't forgotten about it, it's just that importing 13 years of posts from the deceased Scoop platform we've used since 2006 to Wordpress is no small task.

If you appreciate our longstanding and continued existence, or just want to buy us a birthday drink, donations are very much appreciated. Paypal is very easy and takes credit cards (no paypal account required.) Or you can use snail-mail.
