Huckabee Speaks

A condensation of Mike Huckabee's convention speech.

The elite media have unified Republicans. The media are tacky and so is Madonna.

I respect Obama's historic achievement [tepid applause] but he'll raise your taxes and get us all killed.

Gas is expensive. You want something to change -- but not the party that controls the White House.

Obama was brainwashed by European ideas when he went overseas. Americans want American ideas.

Republican heroes are Jesus, Elvis, and FDR. We're not elite and we don't need no stinkin' government.

Palin got more votes for mayor than Biden got running for president. [huh?]

Did you know John McCain was a POW?

School children shouldn't have desks unless they enlist in the military.

I'm proud to be an American even though I'm not wearing a flag pin on my lapel.

I'm sure the Republican base loved it, but he got 15k votes in Florida, three times the population of Wasilla.

It also had nothing at all to do with "experience" and was just a bizarre moment.

Now we've got Governor Linda Lingle talking more and more about how Palin is "authentic" and then listing all the same biographical info we already heard, not touching on any accomplishments at all.

    You can guess.

How many votes do Republicans really think they will get by trashing Madonna? Is this 2008 or 1988? These people truly have no clue. What a pathetic loss this election will be for them in November.
